The latest version of Glasses Direct has been live and kicking for 6 weeks and if you’ve navigated around the new site you’ve probably noticed one of the exciting new features – the Boutique section.

The Boutique is a whole new area that features high-end products which haven’t been seen on Glasses Direct before – it’s great to finally see brands like Ray-Ban and Oakley on our shelves.

And, judging by the number of home trials flooding in, our customers seem to love the new brands too – people are jumping at the chance to try out designer frames in the comfort of their own home! But what brands do they love the most?

At number one, it’s…

It’s probably no surprise that the pick of the specs is Ray-Ban – we know from our work over at our sister site Sunglasses Shop that it’s the most in-demand eyewear brand in the world. And the Ray-Ban frame that’s drawn the most attention is the 5184 in black:

The 5184 is the same shape as the Ray-Ban New Wayfarer – it’s a reimagining of the classic Wayfarer shape (as seen here) but it’s more slimline, more wearable.

But after Ray-Ban comes…

Emporio Armani

The numbers say that Emporio Armani is the second most lusted after brand, and the most popular frame from the current collection is:

This is the EA1006 in black. It’s got a steely, confident look that’s ideal for a professional environment – the rectangular half-rim shape is a cutting edge design and the Emporio Armani logo on the temple is etched on by lasers. When your glasses’ construction process has lasers involved, you know you’re wearing something special!

But moving on to third place…

Dolce and Gabbana

Dolce and Gabbana needs no introduction – and the most popular frame from the current collection is the 5004/3202:

This is a full rim frame designed for men – an extremely classy frame that matches the attention to detail found in Dolce and Gabbana menswear. This is best displayed in the flexi hinges that mimic the shape of a shirt collar – it’s that level of precise design that lets you know it’s the real deal.

So that’s a brief round up of some of the more popular frames found in the Glasses Direct Boutique – there’s plenty more to come so keep your eyes peeled for more brands coming to the Boutique soon.
