We’re back with the last instalment of our Find My Shape series. We’re ending the series with a spotlight on heart-shaped faces. Read on to find out more!

You could say we left the best for last. Heart-shaped faces are something of a rare and beautiful breed. Don’t believe us? Well, according to scientists at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, those with this face shape are “mathematically beautiful”. They reached this conclusion after analysing facial measurements of over 50 models.

How to find your face shape

To find out if you have a heart-shaped face, follow these simple tips to measure. Take a photo of yourself facing the camera then trace the outline the edge of your face. Or, using a mirror, trace the outline of your face on with an erasable marker (or anything that can easily be cleaned).

Characteristics of heart faces

Heart faces have a broad forehead and wide cheekbones that narrow down to a smaller chin.

Styles to try

Look to bottom-heavy frames like round and rectangular shapes to add balance to your face and to create a wider base below the cheeks.

Styles to avoid

On the other hand, top-heavy frames like pilot styles will make your forehead look bulky, so it’s best to avoid these styles.
